ONE DAY, WE'RE GONNA LIVE IN PARIS
'I promise
I'm on it
I'll find you that French boy,
You'll find me that French girl
I promise
I'm on it'
- friendly fires
around noon we met rophie for lunch
she took us to the amélie poulain café
(and god, jessica was so excited about it, like a 5yo in a candy shop)
and then we took sophie to the Episode store
they are my favourite second hand shops.
you've got one in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Brussels, London & Paris
my fav is still the one in Camden, London
DAY.
paris - countryside - lille - brussels - antwerp
(red bull- monster - burn - red bull - monster)
home.
NIGHT.
BETTER TIMES ARE ON THEIR WAY.
this actually was our first time we drove to Paris,
just for a gig
but The Middle East are really one of my fav indie bands at the moment.
so it was worth the trip
I've seen them at Sunset Sounds, Brisbane, before in January
it was like heaven, or something heaven should definitely be like
also thrilled about seeing them again this summer
Middle East are playing Dour festival next week
and Villagers are playing Pukkelpop in August
Conor also promised he'll bring the rest of his band too next month
VILLAGERS.
THE MIDDLE EAST.
after the concert I had a nice chat with Mikehhh (drummer)
who is incredibly funny
when the band left
we found out the venue served belgian beers
so we stayed until they kicked us out
& stumbled back to our hotel (: (:

29/06
tuesday last week - before going to rock werchter -
we drove to Paris for the Middle East + Villagers concert
we stayed one night in Paris
near the lovely Père-Lachaisse graveyard
(oscar wilde, édith piaf, jim morrison, max ernst)
after almost being killed by the heat,
we bought a bottle of champagne,
and sat under the eiffel tower for a bit
